Norefjell Ski Resort is only a 15 minutes drive away, and offers you a variety of Alpine slopes as well as 75 miles (120 km) of cross country trails.

During the summer the ship M/S Kryllingen stops at Sole's Pier to pick up passengers. It takes guests for a tour on the fjord and it is possible to enjoy a meal and drinks on board. The trip also includes a visit to the fairytale museum Villa Fridheim, one of Norway's best preserved wooden houses. Norefjell also offers a golf course of International standard.

Best Western Sole Hotell and Herregaard has 70 distinctive rooms, all with en-suite bathrooms and all the facilities that a business or leisure traveler would expect, including desk space and wireless PC connection. The hotel also offers conference capacity for up to 200 people, and banquet capacity for up to 150 people. For smaller conferences, such as board meetings or simply private lodging, we can offer Villa Sole, a detached house with its own conference facilities.
